Current Favourites

Today I thought id share on my blog the things I have been loving recently, I really enjoy reading these posts so I thought I would share with you mine.

Firstly, I have been loving the St Tropez Tinted Lotion Gradual Tan, I bought this in Sainsbury's when it was on offer for £10, as I'd hear quite a few people talk about it so I thought I'd give it a try. This basically claims to give you a "gives an instant hint of bronze that illuminates the skin, while gradually building a healthy sunkissed glow."

it is perfect for those that hate the smell and process of applying fake tan as you apply it like a moisturiser (i still recommend using a fake tan mit but you can pick these up for as much as a £1.  I have always loved the St Tropez tanning mousse so I wasn't surprised to love this as well, I feel like it gives you the perfect glow. It is perfect for if you haven't had time to fake tan before an event but want a bronzed glow.

This month I have also really loved recently is the YSL Black Opium perfume, it is quite pricey but it smells amazing and lasts all day. I always get so many questions on what perfume I’m wearing when I have this on. The bottle is beautifully designed and looks great on display in my room.

I have also been loving the Stila 'Eyes are The Window to the Soul' Palette, I know I have mentioned this previously on my blog, but I put this in my drawer and forgot about it for ages until recently I discovered it again and forgot just how beautiful it was. You can create so many lovely natural or dramatic looks with this palette for day or night time. This palette also featured 'Kitten' which has to be one of my all time favourite eyeshadow shades.

A few months ago I decided to treat myself to some Zoeva Brush, I've wanted some good quality brushes for ages and I've had my eyes on the Zoeva Complete Brush Set for ages. I do agree that having good makeup brushes makes your makeup so much more flawless. I can't recommend these brushes anymore, even though they are quite pricey if you divide the cost per brush it makes each brush....

One of the things I have really been loving to do recently is to visit new places in the UK, that I've never been, for example, Llandudno and the Lake District. I often underestimate the UK and think you have to go abroad to visit nice places, but the UK has so many lovely scenic places.

Thanks for reading!

Updated makeup routine

Today I thought I would share with you my everyday current makeup routine, I posted one of these a while ago on my blog, but it has changed a lot since then so I thought I would post an updated one.

The foundation I have been using recently is the Revlon Colorstay Foundation, this was the first foundation I ever bought when I first started wearing makeup and I loved it and still to this day I do. I feel like it gives me the perfect amount of coverage that I need and the finish is flawless and not cakey, which I feel happen to a lot of foundation on my skins these days.

For concealer, recently I have been using a mixture of the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and the MAC Pro-long wear concealer, I love both these concealer on their own but together they give the most amazing coverage.

For contour, I have been using the Nude by Nature contour palette the shade on the left is the most perfect contour shade and gives the best illusion of definition to your face. I also like to use the middle shade to bronze my face, all three shade are matte which I like for the contour and bronzer however, and the matte highlighter is not my favourite. For highlight however, I use the MAC Mineralised Skin Finish in the shade Soft & Gentle, this highlight gets spoken about all the time and I understand why, I’ve used this highlighter for a while now and any other one just doesn’t compare. It gives you the most perfect glow.

For my eyebrows I have recently started using the Soap & Glory Brow archery, it is so quick and easy and gives your brow the most natural look. I use the shade ‘Brownie Points’ and it is the perfect shade for my eyebrows.

For my eyes I do change my eyeshadow up most days but the two palettes I have been loving recently is the Revolution Redemption palette in Iconic Elements, I love this palette because all the eyeshadows expect for one are matte, as recently I have been getting back into just wearing matte eyeshadows. The second eyeshadow is by Stila in the shade 'kitten' as it is the perfect inner corner highlight.

For lips, I have been using the NYX Lingerie Liquid lipstick in the shade ‘bedtime flirt, 08’, I love NYXX lip products as I feel for the price they are they are really good quality. This shade is a perfect everyday lip colour for me and I like how it dries matte.  The only downside to this lipstick is that it is a little bit sticky if you apply a little too much so that’s something to look out for.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog!
